I have been trying to install an ISO of Visual Studio 2010 Pro on Windows 7 Pro 32-bit at work. The ISO was obtained by our Software Manager and made available to me. I mounted the ISO and copied the content to my PC and removed the mount stuff. I run the setup.exe as Administrator with barely nothing running on my PC (other than what would initially) and get the inital dialog asking to install or search for updates. The update button is grayed as I haven't installed yet.

I click on Install and the main, familiar, Visual Studio setup dialog appears. Whilst it loads components, I uncheck the 'Share setup experience' box. Once the components are loaded, the Next button becomes available. This is where it gets odd: 1. The other is using between 35% and 50% CPU (actually one full CPU on my dual core PC) and consumes about 1.5MB more memory every second.
(I did watch this go to 750MB before aborting, it would continue till I ran out of memory I assume) 2. If I click Next, it takes over 5 minutes for the licence agreement to click and the program becomes very unresponsive. For example, if I click the accept licence radio button, this won't register the click and become blobbed for 2 minutes or more.
